ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Margo Cilker
Goldendale, WA
Originally from California, singer-songwriter Margo Cilker has spent the last few years on the road–from South Carolina to Montana, then the Basque Country and back to the American West. Her travels are always split between staying and going. She says she pines for “Basque wine, music, and cowboys.” Forging a path that is at once deeply rooted and ever-changing, Margo recently alighted in eastern Oregon to ride out the pandemic and work on her debut album, Pohorylle. Influenced by the poetry of Lucinda Williams, Gillian Welch, and Townes van Zandt, her music reflects a restlessness and continued yearning for the road. Margo is joined by bandmembers Clara Baker (fiddle), Dan Galucki (drums), and Forrest VanTuyl (bass).
Michael Martin Murphey
Walden, CO
For more than 40 years, Michael Martin Murphey has left an indelible mark on the American music landscape by topping the pop, country, bluegrass, and western charts with hits like “Wildfire,” “Carolina in the Pines,” “Geronimo’s Cadillac,” “Boy From the Country,” “Long Line of Love,” “What’s Forever For,” “Cowboy Logic,” “Cherokee Fiddle,” and more. His songs have been recorded by the likes of Kenny Rogers, John Denver, The Monkees, Roger Miller, and Cher, among others. Murph is a member of the Western Music Hall of Fame and has also been honored by such notable organizations as the Academy of Country Music, the Grammy Awards, the Country Music Association, and the Texas Music Awards. He is a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Cowboy Hall of Fame and serves on the Western Folklife Center’s National Advisory Council.
Dave Stamey
Orange Cove, CA
Dave Stamey has been a cowboy, a mule packer, and a dude wrangler. Now, he is one of the most popular western entertainers working today. Dave has made it his life's work to celebrate the rural American West. In the past two decades, he has recorded 11 albums of original music, traveled hundreds of thousands of miles, and performed thousands of shows doing just that. His songs capture the life of the modern cowboy in a world of rapid transition, where some things change constantly and some things never change at all. He lives in the farthest northeastern corner of Tulare County, where the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains begin just outside his back door.
