Rusty tries to impress a sweet young thing with his horsemanship. Rusty Phillips perfoms "Pretty Girl and a Bronc Ride" during the "Buckaroo Who?" at the 41st National Cowboy Poetry Gathering.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Rusty Phillips
Liberty Hill, TX
From calving camps in Montana, shoeing horses in Arizona, dragging calves in Texas, or doctoring steers in New Mexico, Rusty cherishes memories from when he was a wandering cowboy, working out of boxcars, bunkhouses, and a wagon crew. He finds poetry both cathartic and a great way to meet folks carrying on the legacy. With a collection of gear made by personal friends, Rusty cherishes authenticity, neighboring, and honest Western tradition. Rusty and his wife run their ranch in the Texas Hill Country, where his family has been since the 1850s. If you need help branding, give him a call.
