Hal Cannon sings the title song from his 2022 new release album, "Nothin' Lastin'." This song expresses the frustrations of impermanence in life. Hal is the retired founding director of the Western Folklife Center.

Hal Cannon's home base, Virgin, UT, is at the doorstep of Zion National Park. The moment he retired he returned to his first love, making music. Hal raises a few cattle and Navajo Churro sheep with his artist wife, Teresa Jordan. These days Cannon's primary interest is writing songs and playing new music though he still loves old-time music.
