David Redboy Schildt was born in Killeen, Texas. His folks are enrolled in the Blackfeet Tribe at Browning, Montana. A producer in rodeo, Dave has coached high school and college rodeo, taught rodeo schools, judged, competed in events (such as the wild horse race), and specialized in bull and bareback riding. As a musician, he has performed at the Cowboy Songs program in Cody, the Smithsonian in New York City, and right here in Elko at the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering. David continues to record and perform new songs that illustrate the western way of life.
